Capital One Virtual Card: Product Copy
As a Brand Copywriter for Capital One, I developed strategic product copy in preparation for Virtual Card's go-to
market launch.
Working with tech product partners, I was lead writer in a Capital One product positioning exercise for Virtual Card.
The strategy was to position Virtual Card as a simpler, safer alternative to the physical credit card.
During the project, presentations with brand partners consisted of getting overall buy in around verbiage for values props and positioning.
Open dialogue was important. This project demanded that I build relationships with the tech partners, ensuring
their insights and perspectives on the product were seen and heard. The confidence, trust and feedback this
collaboration inspired allowed for the target positioning to be met successfully.
Results of the brand exercise have helped lay the foundation for product copy around Virtual Card as it enters market.
